South Australian Premier League
The South Australian Premier League is now the second-highest state-level football (soccer) competition in South Australia. It is conducted by the Football Federation of South Australia (FFSA), the state's governing body. Prior to the 2006 season, this was the highest level competition in South Australia. The reigning champions are Adelaide Cobras who now play in the South Australian Super League.

Each season, the champion is promoted to the Super League, while the bottom Super League club is relegated to the Premier League. Also, the top two State League clubs are promoted to the Premier League while the bottom two sides in the Premier League are relegated to the State League.
